FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: I'm not an experienced dancer; are there beginner classes for adults?
A: OM offers dance classes from Introductory Beginning to Advanced Levels for all ages. Check our schedule or call us directly and we can help find the perfect class for you, regardless of experience.

Q: Do you have advanced classes for adults? Do I need to be evaluated to register for them?
A: Adult classes are offered for the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Our Student Program is strictly by placement. However, students in the Adult Program are free to take classes as they see fit, provided they do not provide a safety risk to themselves or others in class. We are happy to provide guidance for students who are unsure which class they best fit.

Q: Why do I have to register as an OM client? Does this register me for classes as well?
A: Students are required to register to take classes with OM so that we can ensure you have a space in the program and class of your choice. Registration only takes a few moments and is required for the Children, Student and Adult and Family Programs.

Q: Do you have showers?
A: OM offers changing facilities and restrooms. However, we do not currently have in-house shower facilities available.

Q: Do you have changing tables?
A: Yes, as many of our Family & Children’s Program students are still in diapers, we do provide a place to change them.

Q: What should I wear to class?
A: The attire requirements for the Children and Student Programs are listed here. We ask that our adults wear clothing they can comfortably move in for the class they are taking. For dance, many of our adult students choose to wear a leotard and tights or dance pants or other clothing they can comfortably dance in. Street shoes are not allowed in any of the studio classrooms.

Q: Can I have a water bottle or snack in class?
A: Adult students are free to bring in a water bottle with tightly closing top. No other liquids or foods are allowed in the studio classrooms. We have a large kitchen/break room available for all students to eat and drink before or after classes.

Q: Do you recycle?
A: The environment is very important to Organic Movements! We make a conscious effort to provide recycled and organic materials whenever possible. We ask that our studio guests and students honor our commitment to the environment while in our facilities and use the provided trash and recycling receptacles.
