SOS Children's Villages - Florida is a foster care neighborhood in Coconut Creek. It is a tree-lined street has twelve houses, which are home to up to seventy-five boys and girls. Their promise of "Healing, Hope and Home for Every Child" assures every child growing up in the Village a safe and secure home, a nurturing family, a vibrant childhood and array of services to help them overcome their past traumas and build a successful future.

The children have been removed from their homes and families by the courts because of abuse, abandonment and neglect. The Village allows for brothers and sisters, who are typically separated while in foster care, to reunite and maintain their family connection. SOS also provides an 18+ After Care program to help our young adults transition out of foster care after they turn eighteen.

We were extremely proud to partner with SOS Childrens Villages this summer and autumn. Our major effort was the production of Organic Movements' 1st Annual Autumn Charity Gala, held on Saturday, August 24th. The gala included a cocktail hour with a silent auction raffle and delicious hors d'oeuvres, class demonstrations by our talented, caring teachers, a live performance featuring students and professional dancers, and a night club featuring a celebrity DJ.

Dozens of local businesses and residents were kind enough to contribute items to our silent auction, and to our luxury VIP Swag Bags, for which we are exceedingly grateful. Without their support the night would not have been such a success. Also, thanks to our guests who were out in full force to have a great time while supporting SOS Childrens Villages! You were amazing - only half a dozen tickets away from a completely sold out event made for lively company and a touching show of generosity. Lastly, we thank all of the staff of both OM and SOS, who worked long hours and late nights to make this whole event possible.

If you were unable to attend the event, we humbly encourage you to consider making a donation to SOS Childrens Villages, whether it be monitary or a few hours of your time. Every little bit helps them in their mission to provide local children with stable, loving homes, which we continue to support with all our hearts.
